Cancer is a part of life for many in our community. It will touch more than two out of five lives and is the leading cause of death in people under the age of 85. LakeWalk, along with two other ProHealth Care Walks for Cancer have been organized to help change these statistics. In 2011, the three walks attracted nearly 10,000 participants who helped raise over $455,000 to benefit cancer research, education, supportive services and more — available right here in Waukesha County. You can be part of making a difference for your neighbors, friends and family by participating in LakeWalk. When you walk, you are literally taking steps to help finish cancer through local research.
